# Scout

Scout watches public store collection URLs and emails you when new products appear — hourly to weekly, with a baseline first scan and per-watch pause.

## How Scout reads pages

Scout fetches public store collection and category pages only. It never logs in, bypasses paywalls, or reads pages that require an account. The first scan of a watch is a baseline: it records what exists without emailing you. After that, each scan emails a digest of new products. When a listing cannot be read, Scout says so instead of pretending to watch it.

## Connect your AI agent (MCP)

Scout runs a hosted MCP server so AI agents can manage watches directly.

- MCP endpoint: https://scout.clarved.com/mcp
- Transport: Streamable HTTP (stateless JSON mode)
- Auth: Bearer agent key (sk_scout_…) — create a key at https://scout.clarved.com/connect after signing in
- Tools: list_watches, add_watch, update_watch, delete_watch, get_watch, trigger_scan, account_status
- Agent keys use the same account limits as the web app; a key cannot read your password or manage other agent keys
